Our Origins
Kior Travel was born in the kinds of spaces that don't make it into guidebooks—late-night gatherings where food was shared freely across crowded tables, where music spilled into conversation and stories traveled between accents, traditions, and generations. Culture, in those rooms, was never something to observe. It was something to taste, hear, feel, and become part of. That is how we truly come to understand one another.
Years of living across different countries deepened that perspective. Embedding within communities rather than just passing through them, revealed a quiet truth: home and belonging aren't fixed to a single location. They're something we carry with us and rebuild again and again, woven into people, rhythms, and shared moments, wherever you find them.
In 2022, in New York, a city shaped by migration and reinvention, Kior Travel became the answer to a question we'd been carrying for years: What would travel look like if it offered depth instead of distance? Connection instead of consumption? Kior Travel was founded to close the gap between the travel industry's promise and its reality. We built this for the curious. For those who want to feel something, learn something, and leave a place understanding it differently than when they arrived.

Our Purpose
We exist to bring humanity and depth back to the travel and relocation experience—helping people understand themselves and the world more deeply through genuine cultural connection. The sacred, the profane, the celebrate and the hidden.
We believe culture includes everything: how people eat and how they party, what they build and what they bury, the traditions in guidebooks and the ones that never make it there. Each experience is designed to reveal places as they actually are, not as tourism has sanitized them to be. We transform how people travel by centering local voices and honoring the customs from which mainstream traditions are born.
